Our original retail location on Duke Street in Lancaster, PA opened its doors in 2000. In 2007, the current owners, Josh and Jess Steffy, took over and focused their energies on roasting and serving high-quality specialty coffee.
Small Shop, Big Heart
Our shop in Lancaster occupies a renovated city townhouse, where you’ll meet our highly skilled baristas, ready to manually brew you a cup of one of our most exciting coffees. For those on-the-go, we offer a rotating “quick cup” option. Espresso fans can choose between our house espresso, Thaddeus, or our rotating lineup of single origin espresso offerings. While you’re here, pick up a bag of some of the freshest coffee you can buy anywhere (buy a bag of beans, get a free quick cup!). We also carry local pastries and bagels from Ric’s Bread as well as some light lunch options.
Our 'not-so-secret' garden courtyard is open for additional seating as the weather permits.
“Didn’t you roast on-site in the past?”
Yes! In the beginning, the entire roasting, training, and wholesale operation took place in the shop on Duke Street. In 2012, we built out a separate roasting and training space alongside Thistle Finch Distillery, but outgrew the space within a year. So in 2014, we built out our 4,000 square foot warehouse space at 1132 Elizabeth Ave. and began operations there in the beginning of 2015.
